apparently she called my mother AND father crying and freaking out because she was scared i would murder her when i got home and found out. lol. she made my mother call ahead and warn me not to come home until i was over it. she’s nine so it’s kind of adorable but at the same time i’m glad she cried and now lives in fear of my wrath.

This is a hard question, really because it makes me realise I would need to call so many people. But you know, I think that I’d call my sister Cecilia. Not only because she’s my sister, but also because she’s a friend, a best friend.
I would tell her mainly that I am sorry for not being able to be there for any even that would happen in her life at that moment; that could be a birthday party, her wedding, I don’t know. I would tell her to tell everyone that I love them, and I would tell her that I love her and that she’s the most beautiful girl in the world.
Oh gosh. Hmm. At least I don’t have to explain why.

Oh, no, this wasn’t right. Not even remotely so. He had spilled coffee on the legs of an offender, someone he disliked for invading the home he had fashioned out of terrible circumstances. When that offender had turned around, the perception filter was shattered and Tony took a careful step backwards, eyes fixating on a familiar face while his jaw tightened as though the realisation brought with it pain. In some fashion, it did. His throat constricted tightly, his insides felt as if they’d turned to useless muck. This wasn’t right. Sending an apologetic text had been fine; he’d known what he’d been doing then. This was— this was an unwelcome encounter made worse by the knowledge that Drew was nowhere near forgiving him. For good reasons, of course; but that didn’t make it any easier to breathe.
Drew forced himself out of his torpor as the words came out of Tony’s mouth, all careful and diplomatic. The scot licked his lips, his eyes still fixed on the other boy. There was bitterness on his tongue; he didn’t understand how they could have let it happened. Their relationship has meant the world for him, always had, and one simple and violent gesture from Tony and the fragile walls of something they thought profound crumbled down. He made a weight transfer from one foot to another, trying to shake the coffee out of it.
